Some controversy has followed upon Canada鈥檚 decision to invite Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the G7 leaders鈥 summit in Alberta this month – and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was pressed to answer on Friday whether he believes Modi was involved in the assassination of B.C. Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in 2023. Carney said it is 鈥渘ever appropriate to make comments鈥 when a 鈥渓egal process鈥 is underway.
