Following the news that Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree has stepped back from national security decisions related to the “Tamil community” Thursday, Prime Minister Mark Carney was asked Friday if he was aware of any of the minister’s conflicts of interest. Carney said Anandasangaree made the “right decision” and that he “has the highest standards of integrity,” adding that Canadians will be “well covered with respect to all public security decisions.”
