Kilmar Abrego Garcia returns to U.S. to face human smuggling charges, Pam Bondi confirms

Longtime Maryland resident Kilmar Abrego Garcia returned to the U.S. Friday, after being erroneously deported to El Salvador three months prior. Though Garcia was returned safely by the U.S. government 鈥 after months of public demands and a Supreme Court ruling ordering it 鈥 he will face with charges of human smuggling in Tennessee. 鈥淗e was a smuggler of humans and children and women,鈥 U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi told reporters Friday.
