23andMe fined $4M+ for genetic data breach

Following a joint Canada-U.K. investigation, British authorities have fined 23andMe more than $4.2 million CAD for failing to protect the sensitive genetic data of millions of users, including more than 300,000 Canadians, in a major 2023 cyberattack. Neetu Garcha speaks with one of the victims of the breach, and reports on the findings of the probe.
