At a press conference on Thursday, Toronto police announced they have arrested 11 people and laid 108 charges in connection with Project FAIR, a major fraud investigation into a fake taxi operation. The suspects posed as cab drivers, swapped victims’ debit and credit cards, and stole over $500,000 in a 10-month period. Police are still searching for two men and a woman linked to the scheme and believe more victims are out there.
