Mexico’s Pacific coast has been pummelled by Hurricane Erick, after the storm made landfall Thursday. The Category 3 hurricane devastated restaurants and tens of boats in the Oaxaca state after winds reached up to 250 km/h. As Erick moved inland, it was downgraded to a Category 1 storm, with winds slowing to roughly 135 km/h, leaving many in the state of Guerrero with a sense of relief.
