Kinew ends state of emergency as Manitoba wildfire danger abates, evacuees return

Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew ended a provincewide state of emergency Monday, stating that the danger from wildfires raging across the province has receded. He added that emergency powers should only be invoked and renewed when absolutely necessary.
