On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell offered similar statements, on different continents, about the state of the U.S. economy - with only their conclusions differing (to say the least). Speaking in Washington, Powell said the state of the U.S. economy was strong and inflation was under control, sentiments echoed by Trump during a press conference in The Hauge. Where the two men differed is the topic of raising interest rates, with Powell saying the right move was to keep rates where they are currently, while Trump blasted the decision and called Powell "stupid" and "low IQ."
