Premier David Eby said at a press conference on Tuesday that the new cases of measles in the province are a “predictable outcome of some recklessness, frankly, on the parts of some politicians in terms of questioning vaccine safety and ensuring people are supported in accessing vaccines.” Eby encouraged all British Columbians to get vaccinated for the preventable disease.
