New provincial data reveals a record number of deaths in Edmonton when it comes to drug poisonings related to opioids. The Edmonton zone accounted for about three-quarters of all opioid deaths in the province in March. Experts call the numbers “demoralizing” and want to know more about why our region was so hard hit.
