City of Kawartha Lakes receives provincial funding to help meet housing targets

The City of Kawartha Lakes has been awarded $1.4 million help meet its housing targets.
The Building Faster Fund is a three-year, $1.2-billion program that encourages municipalities to speed up approval processes and build homes quicker.
The funding is awarded to municipalities that acheive at least 80 per cent of their provincially designated housing targets.
Having broke ground on more than 400 homes in 2024, the City of Kawartha Lakes reached 83 per cent of its 2024 housing target.

The City of Kawartha Lakes has been awarded $1.4 million help meet its housing targets.
The Building Faster Fund is a three-year, $1.2-billion program that encourages municipalities to speed up approval processes and build homes quicker.
The funding is awarded to municipalities that acheive at least 80 per cent of their provincially designated housing targets.
Having broke ground on more than 400 homes in 2024, the City of Kawartha Lakes reached 83 per cent of its 2024 housing target.
