The jailed leader of the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK), a militant group that has led a decades-old insurgency against the Turkish state, says its armed struggle is over. A spokesperson for Turkey’s pro-Kurdish DEM party said militants would begin handing over weapons in the northern Iraqi city of Sulaymaniyah Friday as part of the peace process.
