Trump announces 35% tariffs on Canada, set to begin Aug. 1

In his latest threat against the Canadian economy, U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a 35 per cent tariff rate for goods imported from Canada, beginning Aug. 1. The revelation came in the form of a letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney, which Trump shared on his social media accounts.
