Morrow Park field in Peterborough is getting a million dollar makeover thanks to help from the province.
Peterborough-Kawartha MPP Dave Smith says the funding will upgrade the existing ball diamond to elevate its status to a premier or level A field.
The city says the upgrades will align with community needs as detailed in its recent Parks and Outdoor Recreation Facilities Study.
And officials say the revitalization will not only enhance accessibility but also extend the life of the Lansdowne Street site.
A construction start date has not been announced.
The funding is courtesy of Ontario’s $200-million dollar Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund.
