Lindsay Golf and Country Clubs hosts Ontario junior boys’ amateur championship

Some of Ontario’s best young golfers battled it out this week at the junior boys’ amateur championship at the Lindsay Golf and Country Club.

144 young golfers hit the links for the 103rd edition of the Golf Ontario championship
Previous winners of the event include pro Mike Weir, course designer Graham Cooke and Kent State University coach John Mills.
Play began on Tuesday with the final round wrapping up on Friday afternoon.
Local players included Austin Brianka with the host club and Johnny Bart of Wildlife Golf Club.
It’s the first time the Lindsay Club has hosted the event.

And the winner of the championship was Spencer Shropshire of Hawk Ridge Golf Club who won in a playoff against Luke Smith of the Thornhill Club.

Both had shot 270 after four rounds.
