It’s been a year since an assassination attempt was made against Donald Trump, who at the time was seeking the Republican nomination. Trump went on to become president, but there’s been little consequence relating to reported failures by the Secret Service leading up to the shooting. “The disciplinary action that they finally took, they only took because I subpoenaed. I wanted to know who was disciplined… Some of the people were just disciplined two weeks ago, so they weren’t going to discipline anybody until I subpoenaed and asked them what they had done. But in the end, no one was fired,” Sen. Rand Paul told CBS News on Sunday.
