An early morning fire Monday destroyed the former Arrowsmith School in Douro-Dummer Township.
Township firefighters responded to the blaze on Parkhill Road East around 2:20 a.m.
Two dozen firefighters battled the fire which gutted the former private school for children with developmental disabilities.
A nearby residence was evacuated briefly as a precaution.
The school operated for 15 years but closed in June 2021.
The building was being rented out for office spaces.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
