British defence secretary John Healey said on Wednesday it is “highly unlikely” people on the Afghan relocation list are at risk of being targeted four years on from the Taliban’s takeover of the country. Britain set up a secret scheme to bring thousands of Afghans to the UK after their personal details were disclosed in one of the country’s worst ever data breaches which put them at risk of reprisals from the Taliban after its return to power.
