Housing starts up in Edmonton as rental prices start to go down

A new report from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation shows a record 2,700 housing starts in Edmonton in June 2025, which could lead to not just more options for renters — but is already leading to rent going down in Edmonton and Calgary. Kabi Moulitharan reports.
