Rare liger cub born in Romania draws attention to controversial breeding

A private zoo in Romania welcomed a rare liger cub named Goliath, born from a lion father and a tiger mother. The hybrid birth is drawing interest and concern due to health risks and ethical questions around interspecies breeding. Goliath’s sister did not survive, but the owner says the two-month-old cub is healthy and thriving.
