Two people fishing off the coast of Haida Gwaii in British Columbia last week got a rare glimpse of a leatherback sea turtle in Canadian waters. There have only been 149 of the endangered animals seen in B.C. in 94 years. They come to Canada to eat jellyfish but sometimes confuse their prey with plastic bags, which can lead to malnutrition, choking and other deadly health problems.
