Today, a Peterborough couple is celebrating their diamond anniversary, which represents 75 years of marriage.
Three quarters of a century ago, Bill and Cora Edgar tied the knot at All Saints’ Anglican Church in Peterborough.
The pair met at Lucky Strike Bait Works, a local business still owned by the Edgar family today.
With four daughters, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, their family tree and legacy continues to grow.
The Edgar family says the secret recipe for their long-lasting love is a blend of patience, understanding, humour and communication, as well as helping others in the
Peterborough community as best they can.
