WNBA players call for pay equity

Some of the WNBA’s biggest players reignited conversations around player compensation this weekend when they wore shirts that said “Pay Us What You Owe Us” at the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. Miranda Anthistle was joined by David Berri, a Sports Economist and Professor with Southern Utah University, to break down how the WNBA’s success will impact upcoming negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement with players, the discrepancies between league revenue and player compensation, and exactly how much players are entitled to receive.
