Toronto’s ‘renovictions’ bylaw to start end of July

A new bylaw set to take effect on July 31 aims to curb bad faith evictions, including so-called “renovictions.” While the measure introduces some protections for tenants, advocates argue that it falls short and that additional action from the provincial government is still needed.
