The U.S. Commerce Department is raising anti-dumping duties on Canadian softwood lumber to 20.56 per cent, pushing the combined rate on Canadian softwood shipped to the United States to well over 30 per cent. The B.C. Council of Forest Industries issued a statement calling the duties “unjustified and punitive.”
