Trump raises tariffs on Canada to 35%

Prime Minister Mark Carney has said his government is disappointed U.S. president Donald Trump followed through on his threat to raise tariffs on Canada.
Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, ahead of Friday’s August 1st deadline, increasing the levy on Canadian imports not covered by CUSMA from 25% to 35%.
