Canada Minister LeBlanc defends trade ties after U.S. slaps 35% tariff

On Sunday, Canada’s Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc said he was optimistic about securing a trade deal with the U.S. Speaking on Face the Nation, LeBlanc emphasized constructive talks with U.S. officials. His remarks follow a new 35 per cent tariff on Canadian goods not covered under the current trade pact.
