From British Columbia to the Northwest Territories and all the way east to New Brunswick, air quality alerts have been issued for much of the country on Sunday. Smoke from wildfires is settling over several major cities, with Toronto and Winnipeg among them. Environment Canada’s air quality alert map mirrors what is clearly visible on satellite — a thick swath of smoke stretching southeast across the country. Heather Yourex-West looks at where the smoke is worst and has the latest on the wildfires.
