A day to remember the contributions of Canadian peacekeepers

Aug. 9 is National Peacekeepers Day — a chance to honour the nine Canadian peacekeepers shot down while flying over Syria 51 years ago (Aug. 9, 1974). Retired lieutenant colonel Richard Wright joins GNM to discuss the sacrifices made by Canadian peacekeepers and why this day is so important as peace remains elusive in so many parts of the world.
