A massive wildfire in southern France has killed one person, injured several others, and burned through more than 13,000 hectares across 15 communes. Authorities say at least 25 homes have been destroyed near Saint-Laurent-de-la-Cabrerisse, forcing evacuations as flames spread through forests and villages. Nearly 2,000 firefighters are battling the blaze, but strong winds and high heat are fuelling its advance. Experts warn climate change is intensifying wildfire risks across France, pushing them beyond the Mediterranean into new regions.
