Trump confirms Apple’s $100 billion investment in U.S., teases 100% tariffs on imported chips

Alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook, U.S. President Donald Trump revealed that Apple intends to increase its U.S. investments by an additional $100 billion over the next four years. Trump also said tariffs of “approximately 100 per cent” will soon be applied to chips and semi-conductors not manufactured in the U.S. Cook noted that Apple is currently on track to make 19 billion chips in 24 factories across 12 states.
