National outlook on Canada’s wildfire situation

Wildfires continue to blaze across the country, with almost every province and territory combatting fires. Latest figures suggest fires have torn through 72,000 square km, about the size of New Brunswick, making this the second worst wildfire season on record. Miranda Anthistle was joined by Chief Ken McMullen, President of the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, to break down the wildfires Canada is experiencing , how the weather is impacting these blazes, and the effectiveness of burn restrictions in preventing additional fires.
