On Tuesday, John Hogan, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, said that the provincial government is issuing an evacuation alert for the areas of Southlands and Galway. Additionally, a regional state of emergency has been issued in parts of St. John’s, Paradise, and Conception Bay South as the Paddy’s Pond wildfire continues to burn “out of control.”
