In a press briefing on Wednesday, New Brunswick Minister of Natural Resources John Herron, along with Premier Susan Holt, confirmed 16 wildfires were burning across the province, up from six on Tuesday, but only two remained out of control. He added that residents must remain prepared to evacuate with short notice.
