Speaking in the West Bank Thursday, Israel鈥檚 finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, confirmed work on the long-delayed Israeli settlement in Maale Adumim will continue after half a decade. If constructed, the 鈥淢evasseret Adumim鈥 site would divide the West Bank and cut it off from East Jerusalem 鈥 a concept Smotrich says 鈥渂uries the idea of a Palestinian state.鈥
