Air Canada is close to a potential shutdown unless the airline and its flight attendants can reach a last-minute deal in their labour dispute. The union asked the airline to resume “good faith bargaining” and urged the Minister for Jobs and Families not to intervene. Flight attendants are poised to walk off the job at 1 a.m. Eastern, leaving thousands of travellers scrambling to deal with the disruption. Neetu Garcha has more.
