‘Scary’: California resident tests positive for bubonic plague after camping near Lake Tahoe

A California resident is recovering after testing positive for the bubonic plague, believed to have contracted the infection from an infected flea during a camping trip in South Lake Tahoe. “This was very news to me and that’s scary,” said a resident.
