The Canadian Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard airlifted two people in medical distress off a cruise ship off the coast of Washington state over the weekend. A 52-year-old woman who had suffered sudden cardiac arrest and was on life support, and a 99-year-old man with a blockage in his esophagus were taken to hospitals in Canada and the U.S., respectively.
