South Korea to ban cellphones in school classrooms amid social media concerns

South Korean lawmakers have passed a bill to ban the use of cellphones and other digital devices in school classrooms nationwide. The legislation was passed on Wednesday in Seoul’s National Assembly amid increasing concerns about the impacts of heavy social media use among adolescents.
