SickKids patient ambassador, and alumni, Sayoni’s life has come full circle. Formerly a patient who was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma when she was 8 years-old, received treatment and chemotherapy, and underwent a rotationplasty surgery, is back on the same floor she did treatment on at 20 -years-old. This time, she works here as a clinical extern, hoping to create an impact.  Lexy speaks with Sayoni on her journey at SickKids, and how it inspired her to give back as a clinical extern, with the goal of becoming a pediatric nurse after she finishes nursing at TMU.
