An Okotoks, Alta., woman hopes her travellers’ insurance covers 80 per cent of her unexpected costs after suffering a medical emergency while she and her son were on vacation this past July. They say with the cost of the original trip, along with cancellations, rebooking and the loss of wage, the total comes out to just shy of $100,000.
