A major earthquake in eastern Afghanistan has killed over 1,400 people and injured more than 3,000, according to figures reported by the Taliban, and the United Nations warns that figure could climb even higher. Global’s Miranda Anthistle speaks with Salam Al-Janabi, communications director at UNICEF Afghanistan, who says efforts are being made to bring in more nurses and medical equipment and that rescue teams are finally accessing harder to reach areas.
