Prime Minister Mark Carney was in St. John’s, N.L., on Monday, where he announced $80 million in tariff relief for small and medium businesses in Atlantic Canada. Carney said the tariff relief announcement was part of a larger announcement he made in March, which earmarked $450 million for small and medium-sized businesses across the country. He made a further announcement last week, increasing the funding to one billion dollars.
