Sentencing began Monday for a Nova Scotia man who pleaded guilty to illegally trafficking DMT, a psychedelic found in the South American tea, ayahuasca. He originally refuted the charges on the basis of religious freedom. But as Ella MacDonald reports, the Crown says drinking ayahuasca can have dangerous consequences.
