A group of Calgary city councillors is calling on council to rescind its 2021 climate emergency declaration and put all climate-relatedspending under the microscope. Councillors Sonya Sharp, Andre Chabot, Dan McLean and Terry Wong argue the move was largely symbolic and now face accusations of trying to score political points ahead of the upcoming election.
