RBC employee allegedly accessed Mark Carney’s banking information

An employee at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is charged with allegedly accessing Prime Minister Mark Carney’s banking information. The RCMP opened the investigation in July following a complaint by RBC. They allege 23-year-old Ibrahim El-Hakim of Ottawa accessed the bank’s IT services for criminal purposes. They say he consulted several profiles without authorization and participated in fraud.
