Canada’s National Revenue Minister François-Philippe Champagne, said on Monday that the country’s federal “operating budget will be balanced by 2028-29.” Champagne also announced that the Liberal government will present the budget with both operating and capital figures separately. He said it’s a way of presenting it “to provide greater clarity.” Champagne added that both the U.K. and Singapore “have done something similar.”
