Trump pledges national crime crackdown as FBI reports record arrests under Operation Summer Heat

At a press conference with FBI Director Kash Patel, U.S. President Donald Trump celebrated on Wednesday what he called record crime-fighting results under Operation Summer Heat, citing nearly 29,000 violent-felon arrests in seven months. Trump vowed to expand the initiative to major cities, including San Francisco, Chicago, and Memphis, and claimed it has already helped reduce crime rates nationwide.
