GE Vernova’s planned demolition of 25 buildings on Park Street North will move ahead without any conditions from the City of Peterborough.
On Monday night, city councillor Keith Riel introduced a motion to require the company to provide saftey and environmental plans — including dust and stormwater control — before the city would issue a demolition permit. But his bid to reopen the debate was narrowly defeated 6 to 5.
