Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada Sean Fraser spoke about the introduction of a new bill — the Bail and Sentencing Reform Act — to strengthen bail laws and toughen sentencing laws. “This is a package of sweeping reforms that includes more than 80 targeted measures that will make bail laws stricter and sentencing tougher. In particular, for violent and repeat offenders,” Fraser said.
